We had all kinds if things that you can do. You can workwith kids, help renovate a house, fix up the streets, serve food, no matterwhat  there is something for you todo.

We even have entertainment, Tug keeps you entertained mostof the week, but then we have music, and all kinds of sports to do. So yeah,this summer I am really looking forward to helping people out, meeting newfriends. I hope to see you this summer, it really will change you.

Lacy Young (junior at Allen East)

 So whether you are like Lacy and have experienced Renovate before and are pumped to come back for the second installment, or a little bit nervous about venturing in this manner with us....please come to the meeting on April 26th, where we will lay the ground work for what will be done to REBUILD HOPE in a community that has lost it!!

 

Average joes student ministry is pleased to announce that Ben and Cameron from This Beautiful Republic!! Worship will be starting @ 7 PM.

The topic that will be covering that night is called "The Stethoscope."  We will be closely looking at our heart, and seeing if what we actually hear, is the way that Christ lives in us!!  You have all seen the Gatorade commercial... "IS IT IN YOU?" Could you really answer that question by listening to your heart beat!!

We will be doing "FEAR FACTOR" as one of the games for the night, in which students will have the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to the upcoming Skillet concert!! (details for the concert can be found at http://www.willrock4food.com )   Actual items that will be eaten....are not hazordous to your health..believe me I have checked!!  Anyways, this night of worship will start at 7PM and is held @ Crossroads Church of God 775 S. Thayer Rd.  Lima, Ohio  45806 !!  This night is free of charge, although we will be taking a love offering for Ben and Cameron!!  It is open to all high school students!! This will be held in the youth room!

 Sunday morning @ 1045 is our EVOLVE Middle School Ministry in which we will cover the same topic as Sunday night...Our middle school ranges from grades 6-8th....and is held in our youth room!!

Tug

Growing up,( well I am still not but sometimes I like to say that and feel good about myself) I always struggled with the word want….it started when I was two years old!  I would go into the kitchen go up to my mom, and say I “need” a cookie! I transferred in my mind that I knew if I said the word want, my mom would not give it to me, and since she had to see the severity of the word, I changed it to need!  I do not remember if she caved or not and gave me a cookie, but I constantly am reminded of the story every time I hear my son Tanner say, Daddy I need a cookie.  I began to laugh and think that it is cute, but deep down inside I begin to wonder if that is where my need to HAVE started. 

I got this, I got that, I wanted this , I wanted that, was always my mentality growing up and even through the first years of our marriage, and heck, even sometimes it still creeps in.  The desire to have little gadgets here and there, or the newest Buckeye gear, a desire that will never be filled.

So the question for the week is, when is God enough for you….right now your Satisfaction cannot be guaranteed if your God is not enough for you.. This statement is driven home in the following verse  The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want, Psalm 23:1

So join us this Sunday as we wrestle through the topic: SATISFACTION GUARANTEED?
